About me:
I have an MA in Clinical Counselling from the University of Chester. I worked as a Counsellor in an NHS Talking Therapy Service for several years.
I have a private counselling practice, offering both online and in-person sessions. I work from my therapy room, which is based in Chorlton, South Manchester, and Manchester City Centre.
My background is in the Performing Arts; I lectured in Contemporary Dance for several years before training as a High School Teacher. Working through my own adverse childhood experiences and supporting students in a pastoral capacity has led to a fulfilling career in counselling and psychotherapy.
My counselling service is personal to you and the therapeutic relationship we create together. I listen with the aim of understanding how your experiences impact your life, without making assumptions or trying to fit you into a formula. I am an interactive relational therapist; I will be in there with you, without getting in the way of your thoughts, processes, and insights. You will feel supported and held by me as your confident companion through the more painful aspects of the therapeutic process. I will be your ally, as you connect with feelings you may have been avoiding or felt too difficult to explore or examine on your own.
