Louise Taylor
My work is grounded in psychodynamic counselling with a strong focus on the here and now. Therapy explores current patterns of distress and ways of relating to self and others, rather than focusing solely on early history. This may involve working with a specific issue or taking a more exploratory approach.
I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) and am Level 1 trained. IFS is an evidence-based, trauma-informed model that supports understanding and working compassionately with different parts of the self, helping to develop greater emotional regulation and self-leadership.
I offer a reflective, contained space where distress can be held and thought about with another person, supporting insight and meaningful change.
Alongside talking therapy, I offer Reiki and subtle energy work as an optional, complementary approach. When used, this supports nervous system regulation and embodiment, always guided by client consent and clinical appropriateness.
