Cheryl Edwards
I can help you make sense of and deal with life, whether you feel depressed, anxious or alone, stressed at work or are struggling with relationships, divorce or bereavement. Maybe there isn’t anything specific that’s wrong right now but you need time, space and another perspective to recharge your batteries. Your experience of the world is unique to you and we will explore it in a way that suits you. It won’t all be hard work, there will be rewarding and fun moments too and I’ll be sure to go at your pace.
I work with adults, young people and children. I started counselling in 2007 for Childline and have experience working with adults in South Manchester and with 11-16 year olds at Place2Be. I have also worked in project delivery so am familiar with the demands of the workplace and the pressure of deadlines.
The relationship you have with your counsellor is really important so take your time to find someone you get on with and trust. I’m my down-to-earth, calm and genuine self in the counselling room and encourage you to be yourself too. Please get in touch for an initial conversation to find out more and we can arrange a free 20 minute phone consultation to see if we are a good fit. If you prefer to do this face-to-face you may also have the option to stay on for the full 50 minutes for half price.
Sessions cost £50 for 50 minutes and I am able to offer reduced priced sessions for £25-40 if you are on a low income, a student or a trainee counsellor.
I am a qualified counsellor with a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, a PG certificate in CBT and I am registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
