Ruth Huntingdon
About me
Hello, my name is Ruth and I am a BACP accredited and registered professional therapist. From my practice in Chorlton, South Manchester I offer face-to-face, online and telephone sessions.
With a strong grounding in Person-Centred Therapy, I use an integrative approach, tailoring our sessions to best suit you and your needs.
How therapy can help
If you’re thinking about therapy, it’s likely that you’re feeling unhappy, stressed, anxious or depressed. Maybe you’re even feeling overwhelmed or burnt out. You might be hanging on to difficult experiences from the past or maybe you’re struggling with making the changes you want for the future. Therapy can offer you an opportunity to explore your feelings and find a way through to increased self-awareness and a more fulfilled life.
Compassionate and individualised therapy
For Therapy to be successful, the most important thing is that there is a trusting, therapeutic bond between client and counsellor. I bring to my practice a calm and genuine warmth and will listen to your feelings in a non-judgemental way. I’ll respond to your needs with compassion, respect and empathy, and will use a holistic approach to help you work through your current difficulties to better understand yourself.
I will offer you a safe and confidential space to share your thoughts and feelings. Working together, we will find a way through the problems you’re currently facing and build resilience to tackle life’s future challenges.
